
For the next few weeks, I have chosen some recipes that are perfect to serve up on the 4th of July! Whether they are an American staple or a fun festive recipe. This week is Chili Cheese Dogs, such a great American fave!! These are so easy, you could even prepare them in advance and have them ready for the cabin, camping, or just a party at home. Hot dogs are always a fan favorite, but add this chili on top and you will LOVE It. This recipe is super easy to make, and even my kids enjoyed it! I paired it with chip, and top the tater another MN fave!! Check out the recipe below!
CHILI CHEESE DOGS

INGREDIENTS
- 1 15 ounce can Essential Everyday Pinto Beans undrained
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Essential Everyday Chili Powder
- 1 14.5 ounce can Essential Everyday Chili Ready Diced Tomatoes undrained
- 10 Essential Everyday Beef Franks cooked
- 10 hot dog buns
- 1 cup Essential Everyday Fancy Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
- 1/4 cup minced onion
DIRECTIONS
Using a potato masher, mash beans and juice into fine pieces, but not a paste; set aside.
In medium saucepan over medium heat, cook and crumble beef and chili powder until beef is no longer pink; drain.
Stir beans and undrained tomatoes into pan; bring to a simmer. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until thickened.
Place cooked hot dogs into toasted buns; top with chili, cheese and onions.
