DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Health has issued “no water contact recommended” advisories at three Duluth area beaches.
Elevated levels of E.Coli bacteria were found at the Lester River beach, the former Duluth Boat Club on the harbor side of Park Point and the Boy Scout Landing beach on Commonwealth Avenue.
An advisory posted earlier this week at the Agate Bay beach in Two Harbors has been removed.
Water is re-sampled at most beaches daily and updated information can be found online at MNBeaches.org
UPDATE: The advisory for the Lester River beach was removed on Thursday afternoon as bacteria returned to acceptable levels.
