DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Starting on Monday, the Duluth School District will require masks to be worn in all ISD 709 buildings until further notice.
A final decision for the upcoming school year will be made by August 24th.
The mandate is based on updated guidance from the CDC and Minnesota Departments of Health and Education.
Masks are also a federal requirement on school buses.
In addition to mask wearing, Superintendent John Magas strongly encourages everyone 12 and over to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Magas says current safety protocols are subject to change depending on upcoming conditions and guidance
