My family LOVES, and I mean LOVES Italian food! I am tired of making the same old spaghetti, stuffed shells, and lasagna. So I decided to try this Baked Penne and Meatballs recipe. Let me tell you it’s super simple, and delicious. I did make homemade meatballs as opposed to the frozen meatball the recipe called for, but you do what works for you. This recipe is really good, and perfect for fall and winter as you crave warm comfort foods. If you’re a pasta lover like my family, definitely try this one!
BAKED PENNE & MEATBALLS

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 16 ounce package Essential Everyday Penne Rigate
- 1 tablespoon Essential Everyday Pure Vegetable Oil
- 1 pound Essential Everyday Frozen Italian Style Meatballs (about 36)
- 1 1/2 cups Essential Everyday Tomato, Garlic & Onion Pasta Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups Essential Everyday Part Skim Ricotta Cheese
- 1 cup Essential Everyday Half & Half
- 1 6 ounce package Essential Everyday Fancy Shredded Italian Style Parmesan Cheese divided
DIRECTIONS
Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add meatballs; cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through (about 10 minutes).
In large bowl combine pasta sauce, ricotta, half & half and ¾ cup Parmesan cheese; salt to taste. Stir in pasta and meatballs. Transfer to a greased 2½-quart baking dish.
Top with remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
