Sept 3 (Reuters) – Adobe said on Thursday Anil Chakravarthy will take over as President and CEO effective December 1, succeeding Shantanu Narayen, who has been chief executive officer since 2007.
Narayen will transition to executive chair and work closely with Chakravarthy to ensure a smooth transition, the company said.
Adobe said earlier this year that Narayen, who has helped the company’s flagship software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, would step down once a successor was appointed.
In June, Adobe announced the exit of CFO Dan Durn, adding to concerns about the Photoshop maker’s strategy to navigate the crowded design industry.
